Colorado residents now have the chance to go solar with no money down with SolarCity's SolarLease!

Colorado Front Range residents may not know it, but they're living in one of the best places in the United States to go solar right now thanks to logo-solarcitystiff competition among solar companies, the state's commitment to renewable energy, and, of course, plenty of sun to soak up with solar panels.

And the picture just got even sunnier for Colorado consumers. SolarCity is bringing its SolarLease financing to Colorado. With SolarLease, homeowners can go solar with no money down. Zero.

According to SolarCity, if you sign up for SolarLease, your electric rates will go down, or stay the same. You'll also lock in your electric rate for 15 years and avoid the rise in electricity rates which have historically risen five to seven percent per year.

SolarLease pricing for a 5 kilowatt solar system in Colorado -- appropriate for a typical three- or four-bedroom home -- starts at $45 per month with no upfront cost, on approved credit. SolarLease includes custom design and installation, the company’s SolarGuard® proactive monitoring service, repairs and insurance.

“As a result of visionary thinking by Governor Ritter, the Colorado legislature, Xcel Energy and the state’s environmentally-minded citizens, Colorado has the potential to become a national leader in solar power adoption,” said Lyndon Rive, CEO of SolarCity.

SolarCity also offers SolarLease in California, Arizona and Oregon. And it is eyeing expansion into other solar lease friend environs, including New York, New Jersey and Ontario.

Stay tuned!
