America's addiction to oil is un-American

Breaking our addiction to oil as a simple as plugging in to electric cars.
You know what’s un-American?
Our addiction to oil – and the pathetic appeal so many Americans make to the inevitably of our oil addiction.
You hear the sob story all the time – the standard line people interviewed in those endless stream of person-on-the-street stories about higher gas prices give time and time again: “There’s nothing I can do.”
This do-nothing-ism, defeatism, and eggs-all-in-one-resource-ism -- having your entire economy dependent on a single fuel source is just plain dangerous -- to me anyway, seems very un-American.
America isn’t about we can’t do. It’s about we can do. It’s our can-do attitude that has made us such a great country – at least up to now.
Yes, America, we can break our addiction to oil!
Plug in an electric car into the sun -- just like the dozens of people we have profiled here on SolarChargedDriving.Com over the past year and a half and the hundreds of others out there who we have not (yet) profiled.
They’re living proof that it can be done. Not some time in the distant future, but right now!
But even if you can’t plug directly into the sun, make sure your next car is a plug-in – because it’ll help us kick oil and move us toward a world in which our transportation sector might one day be powered with 100 percent renewable wind, sun, hydro, and geothermal generated electricity.
C’mon America – and world – take charge and plug in today!
